Perfect Onion Mushroom Burger : I could not be happier with this simple yet flavorful beef patty.. The trick is to caramelize the onions over low heat with a little butter and oil for at least 30 mintues (more is good, but it is hard for me to wait that long to eat!) Initiated by the james beard foundation, the goal is to make burgers more environmentally friendly. For the mushroom and onion gravy: Cook until the mushrooms are tender, about 5 minutes. They do not taste anything like meatloaf.

Just the most perfect thing to top your burgers with. I didn't have to do much tweaking from the original recipe, except for leaving out that disgusting celery.
